The Family of Missing Robert Wayne Cox, 57, Asks the Public to Please Join Them at a Poster-Balloon Event

On Saturday, June 04, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. a Poster-Balloon Event will be held for missing Robert Wayne Cox, age 57, who disappeared on February 19, 2011 from his Harvana, Arkansas home.  The event will be at the Belleville Park in Belleville, Arkansas and open to the public and media.
Mr. Cox has neurological disorders, along with dementia, and the state of Arkansas called for a Silver Alert.  Searches were conducted in and around the area of his home, however he was not located.  His family and friends are asking the public to please attend this event to learn more as well as obtaining missing posters to help hang in the community and surrounding areas.  Cox cannot lift his chin from his chest and shuffles when he walks.  Due to his neurological problems the police do not believe he could have ventured far away, however, the possibility exists that someone may have given him a ride.  His family desperately seeks him.  His sister, Lydia Carter explains “It has been a nightmare each day in trying to find my loving brother.  It has come to the point that when my family and I see buzzards circling we hop in our car and check to see if my brother may be the reason they are circling.”  According to LostNMissing’s President, Cynthia Caron, the Nonprofit Organization assisting the family , “No family should have to go through the pain of what Robert’s family are enduring. It is our hope that the public will join efforts to support the family by attending their public event” explained Caron.   Media is encouraged to attend, as well.
Robert was last seen wearing a navy blue hoodie, light gray sweat pants and gray tennis shoes according to his wife.  If anyone has information about Mr. Cox’s whereabouts they are asked to the Yell County Sheriff’s Office at 479-495-4881 or your local police.
